As I was headed back into the house, I spotted the cat sitting on some old farm equipment in the yard... waiting to pounce on an unsuspecting butterfly.
It's the little things, like a handmade gift from a child, that mean the most in life. This little "Chia Pet", made by my daughter last year, brings a smile to my face whenever I see it on the windowsill.
One of the staples of farm life is the barn cat. They keep away rodents and entertain children :) This pretty lady is named Chandler or Chandy for short... at least until the next time the kids change her name!
